Trifluralin

Selective pre-emergence soil-herbicide acting and killing weed-seeds as they germinate. Used to control grasses and broad leaf weeds.

Crop Situations

Tomatoes, Paper, Sunflower, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Alfalfa, Turnip, carrots, Radish, Broad beans, Sugar beet, Wheat, Pear, Garlic, Okra, Cotton, Tobacco, Sweet potatoes.

 

Weed Susceptibility

Grasses and broad leaf weeds

Dose: 120-250 ml/1000 m2/ 20-40 L water. Apply before planting by mixing with soil at a rate of 20-40 L of the spraying solution/ donum to the depth 8-15 cm. Treated soil should be wet or irrigated after spraying the solution.

Safety Period:

The treated area should not be entered before 7 days of spraying.

Toxicological cat.: LD 50 Oral > 2000mg/kg; contact: > 4000 mg/kg low toxic.

Preferably do not mix with other pesticides.

Important:

  • Use this herbicide 6 weeks at least before planting.

  • This herbicide should be used after preparing the soil for planting – should be mixed with the soil 6-8 hrs after spraying.

  • The spraying machine should have a velocity of 6-10 km/hr, low spraying pressure with good spread, and the soil should be lose and well grounded.

 

Sensitive crops:

Muskmelon, watermelon, cucumber, spinach, corn, tomato, pepper.

Don’t plant the following crops before 6-12 months after spraying of Trif-cop: watermelon, cucumber, spinach, corn, tomato and cabbage.
